Otatea acuminate aztecorum
Grows naturally in ravines and mountain slopes between 2,000 - 5,000 ft throughout much of in Mexico. One of the most elegant of all bamboos, with a gracefully arching open clump form. This species can reach a 4-8 mtrs height with more than equal spread. The canes can grow to a diameter of 10–25 mm on a stouter older plant and are densely clothed with very thin, narrow and long light green leaves lending the plant a soft appearance. Plant in light shade or full sun. Can tolerate drought once established. Cold hardy to -7°C
